We replaced an old dustmonitor in August at one of our partners in the cement industry, which was installed in the early 90s. We replaced the entire scope of the old SICK FW-56 instrument with a SICK Dusthunter T50, which included the replacement of the purge air motor and it’s supply system, the MCU local display and control unit, the transmitter/receiver and reflector units, and the weather protection covers. Although we built the zero-point tube in our workshop before starting the work, accurately representing the flange-to-flange distances built into the technology, we managed to finish the work late evening. We hope that the new system will provide the end-user at least similarly long-term, reliable measurement results!
